The company was founded in 1998 by Jeff Kennedy and Mike Miller who remain at the helm and make the day-to-day as well as strategic and visionary decisions. Jeff and Mike leverage combined expertise in sales, and technical development, and organizational management. This has produced outstanding results over the years, as their teams developed and sold highly successful systems for merchandise receiving, retail ordering, inventory management, retail price management and most recently, Magic™ Inventory Optimization and Computer Generated Ordering application.
Many things make us successful, but the overarching factor might just be that we are among the few industry-leading software companies that doesn’t have significant outside funding. By growing organically, we are able to adhere to the most important tenet in our mission: Servicing our customers. The importance of accurate, trusted store-level inventory management systems has never been greater for supermarkets and other retailers. Nightly ordering is a complex and demaanding activity that is prone to data lag and human bias. It requires reliable store-level perpetual inventory and a high-degree of automation powered by machine intelligence. Companies who do this very well see excellent financial returns, smoother store operations, and superior shopper satisfaction.
Unrefined ordering practices result in unacceptably high incidence of both out-of-stock and overstock situations.
